As an actor I love to bring joy, empathy and transformation to people through the art of storytelling. To me, there’s nothing better than being part of a production that makes people think, broadens their perceptions, or just plain makes them laugh out loud after a bad day.
Okay, sometimes chocolate is a very close second. But I digress…
Happily, I’ve been able to do what I love for a living! You’ve probably seen me in a commercial or two like for Dr. Scholl’s for Heror Nutella, or in a film or TV show like Orange is the New Black, Divorce, The Blacklist, Royal Pains, The Sopranos or The Post. I’ve been fortunate to play juicy roles and workshop new plays and musicals at places like New Rep, Atlantic Stage, Soho Rep, New World Stages, The Belt Theatre, and tiny black box theaters all over NYC. And I’m proud to have been a part of the USO, singing for veterans and active military at Walter Reed and the Bob Hope Center.
I studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, as well as with some amazing teachers like Tim Phillips, Anthony Mendl, Caryn West, Ted Sluberski, Matt Newton, and the late, great Gene Frankel. (Miss you, Gene!) But don’t be fooled by all the artsy stuff… I’m also a computer geek – taught myself how to code HTML by hand which led to my own web design business, ActorWebs.com. I also love all things sci-fi, and there isn’t a ghost-hunting show I haven’t seen at least once.
Being an actor is an amazing ride, and I am always inspired by the wonderful people I get to work with and the audiences I have the privilege to entertain. I would love to see you on my journey!
